I made a post over at DoA with a fairly detailed report of my Makeup Workshop experience, with photos. Sorry if you can't access Den of Angels. (It's free to sign up, though!). I'd cross-post here, but am still too stressed about car worries to do that without a lot of requests!

Thank you April, that was really good. I hope they do the advanced class, I would be more enclined to take that.

Good luck with the car purchasing. They always say it's a big stresser. I suggest that if you get an used car to make sure there is a 48 hour return policy and take it to your own mechanic right away to check it out.

There's some sort of CA law that says you can't bring a car back once you take it out the door... maybe it has to do with having to re-do the registration??? Sounds odd to me. But the car in question is thoroughly checked out--I test-drove it and it's Pre-Certified and they'd have to fix it and pay for anything over $50.00 for the next year or three (two different warrenties on it--one is still the original factory warrenty for a year, and then the extended warrenty for almost three years). The carmax was good clear and the service record--back to when it was new, is also totally clear... Of course, that doesn't mean it could all go to hell after three years! Gah... I hate cars! But one needs the things!!!

Yes, the advanced class would be interesting. I'm sure there are many people out there who have taken the basic class or don't need to, who may be interested in something more. Mikey didn't say when they might start doing Advanced classes, however--only that they were thinking about it. Nice to know, though!

It WAS awesome. Of course they did everything like it was easy as breathing...! We definitely all had new respect for them and for the art of the faceup no matter WHO is doing them.

Hmmm... I was wondering if it was OK for me to report so thoroughly on the workshop? I haven't seen anyone else do it... but I was snapping the photos and Mikey and Saifa didn't say anything. I hope I wasn't being so gauche that they were hesitant to tell me to stop!!! But then... at the Dolpas, it seems that photos are OK, unlike in the stores...
