BJD--New Arrival--a Tinybear Bracken!
I haven't broken my No Doll in 2008 resolution (yet!!! but oh, so tempted and it's just January!!!). I ordered this little fella a month ago.

Nothing special--just took a few photos right out of the box. He's got no clothes, nothing... fortunately he comes with a faceup, eyes and wig--and free-shipping!--all in the base price.

He's white, an elf, a boy... so you know I had to get him! It was hard not to order the girl, Moona, as well. I may break down and get her sometime soon, though. The sculpts are amazing for such a tiny thing! He's about 6" (I seem to be on a tiny trend in doll-buying, lately, going from 60cm to Bambicronys to these little guys...) He's doll-house scale, and several people have been showing him in fully furnished doll-houses. So cute!

They are available from tinybear on Den of Angels. Various skin tones. They're cast by one of the doll companies, but sold by the sculptor (tinybear--who also makes amazing mohair wigs). I'm thinking of calling him Cobweb (almost named my Bambicrony elf that). Nice Shakespearean Fairy name... and a Wraeththu name, heheh.

Stands pretty well! A little kicky-armed, but not bad for such a small thing. Pretty good articulation, really... two joints in the torso are pretty extreme! But welcome... and yes, the Christmas decorations haven't been put away yet!!!

I'm heading off to a convention up north on that weekend. It's Further Confusion and Terrie's off to it also. I'm mostly going to hang out, since I haven't done a lick of art for it yet! argh!

Ooh you know, I'd been dying to see owner pics of him, he's such a cutie... and! 6" you say? I still owe you... I never managed to make the outfit for your little bambi-- I think I still have one of these in stock, and they might fit him! :D

Wow, that's an amazing outfit! I'm not sure how big the DZ bunnies are... They look smaller than Bambis and probably too wide for the tinybear elfs (they are really skinny things! I love that outfit, though! Maybe I should get a DZ fox (I SO want one, but am trying so hard not to buy more dolls...argh!!!), so he could wear it! Heheheh.

If you really want to send me free stuff, I'm not going to argue! I can certainly try the outfit on to see if it fits. But you really don't owe me anything. ^____^

Bah, I told you I'd be sending you something for like.. a year? Egads.

The DZ foxes are 15 cm - so I think about the same height, not sure about their girth. I think the outfit might fit, so I'm sending it, muahahahah. :)

*cough* and resist getting a fox for now. ;) I think we may have some leftover in the next shipment or so, so might be planning a photo contest. XD

Do you still have the same addy as last year?

yeah... somehow he doesn't look like the type to be wearing much even if I HAD stuff for him... I'm still thinking about what I could put him in... I keep thinking loincloths and jewelry! --hehehe!

Oh, he's plenty tiny... just taller than one would think because he's so skinny and long! He's a bit under 6"... hard to tell with the wig on... I really like the more mature sculpts. Anyway... I'm so used to bigger dolls, he seems very tiny and fragile!

He probably could use with some slight hot-glue sueding or something, since his joints are so tiny and slippery... but he does sit with some care, and stand pretty well... not amazingly top-heavy considering his large head and tiny limbs.
