BJD--We Gots Piggie!!!
Yes, the BJD insanity continues...

I haven't had time/energy/inspiration for a true photo-shoot, just took a couple of quick out-of-the-box shots.
I blame it on the freckles. And I like light-colored eyes. And... maybe I just have too much time on my hands and am unwilling to do anything truly productive other than buy dollies with it??? I don't know, but I've been very tempted by all the new little animal dollies for quite a while. I always liked the cat-headed dolls... liked Catsy and Baron and Mau... and then Pipos Doll made those cute little Baha cats and even cuter bunnies. I never thought a pig would appeal to me, but when Elfdoll came out with their first Alice Cherry Blossom, I was full of want! But resisted... then came Alice Cherry Blossom Version 2--and the Gothic Hoody full-set... and it had FRECKLES! I'm not big on freckles, usually, but somehow on a pig. GAH! But I resisted... so I missed getting it. But they keep coming up for sale now and then on the secondary market (in my case, from an ebay doll shop), so I just caved...!!!
Gothic Hoody Alice came with outfit and a little certificate card. Mine has "No. 120" up in the corner. I'm not sure if there are different numbers or not, but it does seem to be marked separately. Piggy is about 5.25" tall--mostly head! A bit top-heavy, but not badly. The stringing seems good--poses pretty well with no kicky arms/legs, decent range of motion and will stay put. Can stand--but as the Hoody version has little footed tights, that makes it a bit more difficult with those on. Resin is nice and smooth and matte, no visible seams. Headcap is held on by magnets, eyes in with putty.

My Alice will actually be more of a boy piggy, I think. I'm calling him "Freckles" Torky Triath (after Torc Triath, a boar king in Irish legends).

uneide of Featherfall sent me a lovely outfit made for DZ Petdolls. I tried the coat on Freckles and it was almost a fit. Sleeves a bit long for the little piggy limbs...

On my Tinybear Bracken, Cobweb, it was too wide and the sleeves were also a bit too long, sadly.

Of course, given that I've long surrendered to the madness, I've got a Pipos Bao (fox) on layaway from Dolls and Friends (I seem incapable of only buying ONE of anything!), so I'll give the outfit a try on him when he finally gets here! *_____*
