BJD-- ElfDoll Late Easter/Spring Party --April 5th
Yet another little party at the Elfdoll store. They had Korean sweets and snacks and soft drinks. And a costume contest with a few of their little guy character dolls as prizes. Not as crowded as previous events--I think because there's a lot of doll and other stuff going on this month...

I finally have an Elfdoll sort of doll--my Gothic Hoody Alice, so I had to bring her... well, HIM, actually. But... gothic hoody is not very spring-like, so at 8pm on Friday I made a dash to the local JoAnne's and bought a 99cent flower, a square of green flannel, an applique embroidered flower and some ribbons... and fabric cement... and small snaps... And cut, glued and sewed a quick costume. Piggy is a bit hard to find clothes for! It's a bit smaller than Barbie clothes and totally the wrong proportions, of course.

Afterwards, went off with Tom, Bill and Perry to Max's of Manila for some Philippino fried chicken for dinner. It was very cool. 'Haven't had much Philippino food before.

I'm thinking about going to PamSD's Party on the 19th, since I missed the last San Diego gathering. I may try to make the Re-stringing Party up in this area... and my try to go to the RenFaire, but that's a few weeks from now and I'm not 100% able to commit.

Easiest costume ever... Cutting out the felt reminded me of making troll doll clothes when I was a kid.

The silly little tinies are just taking over my life!

The food was good. The chicken was fried without batter--so it was crispy and hopefully a tad less fattening (hahah, sure!).

Aaaawwwwwwwwwweeeee that is the cutest costume EVER! Squeeeeee. So adorable.

OMG I love the skunk! It is so much cooler as a skunk than a fox!!!

We're going up for Pam's meet too, but staying with a friend or we could drive together. That would have been so much fun.
Um bring your piggy and we'll see if I can help with finding you clothes. I've gotten pretty decent at figuring out which premade clothes work for the little ones.
Heck I may even have somthing that will fit.

Piggy is definitely smaller than barbie-sized... and legs are just puny! I think some Blythe will fit and maybe Banji or lati-yellow sized outfits...? I really want something more historical/fairy-tale/fantasy/historical for him... There were a few Elfdoll piggy outfits at the store, but they were similar long-sleeved t's with caps and tights, and he already has his original gothic hoody outfit... (plust for $40, I just couldn't do it!!!)

I would think LatiYellow for sure, Banji is skinny. I can bring Georgia's Medieval dress with me and see how it fits on de pig.

Piggy body is pretty tiny... it's the HUGE head that make him/her look larger... I definitely need piggy clothes, so if you can make some, that'd be terrific! ... I need BOY piggy clothes... Dresses are more easily come-by, but my gothic hoody piggy is more BOY than girl, which makes it a bit harder to find stuff for him!

I'm actually getting a Pipos Fennec on layaway--so he's not scheduled to be paid for until this summer (although I may get impatient and pay him off sooner! But I still need to fiddle about with the dolls I have--get them clothes and stuff, before trying to deal with a new one!!!). I went for the full-set with the faceup with the eyebrows and the outfit... I just like the faceup on him, though it makes him more expensive... *sigh*

I can't believe I'm getting so many little bjds!!! I swore I wouldn't, but there I go...! *____*

I'm doing layaway at Dolls And Friends-- $65 or thereabouts a month on a credit card or you can do Paypal... or make larger payments whenever you want, they are very flexible...

Did you get the Soom Beryl??? I wish I could have... but really, I have too many dolls already and will never sell any of them, so I have to try NOT to buy everything I wish... ;__;

yes i have ordered Beryl, even though i am normally a tiny person, but i just love her, she will be the perfect companion for my hound boy Louis. (yes i have a hound and 4 tinies at the moment)

i am exactly like that too, i can never sell a doll (have some pullips and other dolls too) even if i don't do much with them i get too attached to them. i guess we have to really only get the dolls we love, and even then we might need to get a bigger house sometime?!
