We were there from 10am until the late afternoon, then broke up to go shopping or leave towards 3 or 4pm. I stayed to shop until the end! ^___^

I'm going to post my non-dolly photos next time!

I haven't worn my ren faire stuff in AGES. It's about as old, though I think I bought mine at the Fontanna, so it MIGHT be a year or two younger.

Man, I can't imagine dragging dolls all around the park like that, but it DOES look like fun with the group. I wonder if Wasabi is in the SCA? She looked familiar. :\

Everyone looked great and I especially liked your girl almost matches you. Heh.

Wasabi and her daughter go to the Elfdoll parties all the time. I'm sure you've seen her there. She always makes costumes--and she made her belly-dance outfit she's wearing here, just before she went to the Faire. She knew her belly-dance teacher was performing--so we all went to watch.

Actually, I had no trouble carrying my doll most of the day. At the end, when I was shopping, I put her in my basket and had to keep reminding myself that she was still there and I hadn't left her somewhere by accident!

I have a doll outfit with a read bodice that goes with a maroon/fuschia-colored outfit, but I couldn't find the bodice, and the green outfit was indeed closer to what I was wearing! We need to color-coordinate, if I'm bothering to dress up myself. ^___^

Anneke was the organizer... you can tell she works some faires--she had a great outfit! Some of the other girls were working Faire, wearing regular wench garb. They're pretty easy to pick out, too.

I always have a great time at these things--and it was fun to be in a group AND with dolls. The crowd was light, so we had plenty of space for the dolls, and the weather was good for down here, which means it was warm and dusty, but not TOO warm and dusty!

^___^ Thanks!

I often feel so fortunate living here. It has its drawbacks, but it also has had a long-running LARGE RenFaire (over 25 years--which is why I own an outfit that is ancient!!!). I think it was one of the first big Faires in the world, actually (although I can't say for sure). Anyway, I used to go as a kid and have been able to go now and then for a gazillion years. And there's lots of people who work the fair, going every day for the whole season... I've never done that, but it's almost a way of life for some people--and always seemed like fun (and a lot of work, but fun).

eh... I'll drag a doll almost anywhere... but particularly to the Faire... I like going to the faire for just about any reason-- as long as it's not scorching hot!

Looks like you had a great time! I happened to be really busy that weekend... and it would have been quite a drive for me.
